Application Procedure
The application procedure for this program is very strict. It begins with registering to take the Compass entrance test. Failure to pass the test or complete any application step on the specified schedule may result in disqualification. Admission is open to all adults who complete the following:
Submit completed Application Packet which includes:
Application for Enrollment
Copy of high school or GED transcript
Proof of Immunization for MMR and Varicella
Copy of current passing Compass scores
The applicant’s name will appear on the Application List on a first come, first served basis. Names will appear on the Application List only AFTER the completed Application Packet is submitted and a Pre-Enrollment Session is attended. Once the completed Application Packet is submitted, an appointment is made for the applicant to attend a Pre-Enrollment Session. During this session, applicants will tour the TTCC campus, discuss costs and financial aid, talk with the instructor/coordinator and talk with a counselor.
A mandatory General Information Session will be held in July 2012 for all applicants wishing to start the Day class. This information session includes discussions led by the Nursing Coordinator and Financial Aid Coordinator. Applicants will receive information regarding AdditionalDocumentation required before starting school; costs sheets for books, equipment and supplies; and information regarding financial aid. This is a great time to ask questions. Admission Lists will appear on the website after this meeting. This program admits 40 students.
Students interested in the Modified class are encouraged to submit their completed Application Packet and attend their Pre-Enrollment Session as soon as possible so that their name will appear on the Application List. Their General Information Session will be scheduled on a different date closer to the start of the modified program and there will be different deadlines to submit Additional Documentation.
Students exiting after the first term may sit for the CNA certification test.
