Joseph Livesay

I am a graduate of Cumberland County High School and TN Technology Center @ Crossville.  After being Honorably Discharged from the U. S. Navy, I worked in industry including several years at TVA Hartsville Nuclear Plant.  I began my teaching career by teaching welding night classes until becoming the instructor for the day program when Papie retired.  I am active in the American Welding Society and now serve as an AWS Director for District 8, liaison for sheet metal and boilermakers for AWS, serve on AWS national committee and AWS executive committee.  The TTCC program has produced national and international skills winners.  We have hosted local welding competitions for 41 years.  TTCC has produced over 150 AWS entry level welders, 26 level II welders and 1 expert welder.  At present, we have the only orbital GTAW in the state.
