Entrance Test Schedule

Practical Nursing and Surgical Technology

Compass is the entrance test given for both the TTCC Practical Nursing and Surgical Technology programs.  The cost is $15.00 payable in cash when student makes the reservation.  The fee is non-transferable and non-refundable.  The test may take as long as four hours to complete.  This is a computerized test that is not timed.  The calculator on the computer may be used. 

Retests will only be offered if there are not a sufficient number of applicants to fill the TTCC class.  Applicants must wait a minimum of 30 days before retesting.  Applicants may retest only once.  Retests will be placed on the waiting list after those who passed the test on the first attempt.  Those failing the test more than once will not be considered for the upcoming TTCC class.

Passing Compass scores are:  Math (Pre-algebra) - 50;  Reading - 80.

Prior Compass scores may be considered if the test was taken within two years of the first day of class.  The applicant is responsible for providing those scores to TTCC.

Compass is usually given the 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday of the month starting at 8am ct.  The following schedule is subject to change.  Maximum capacity:  20.
