Campus Kids’ Corner,
located on the campus of Tennessee Technology Center in Crossville, opened its
doors to the public in August, 1997. The preschool lab can serve up to 22 children
ages 2 ½ (and potty trained) to 5 years. The preschool lab was opened to serve
the general public and TTC students as well as provide a hands-on experience
for the Early Childhood Education students, which is offered to Cumberland County
and Stone Memorial High School students on TTC campus. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors can take
Early Childhood Education classes 1, 2, and 3 after completing the prerequisite
Child Development. Campus Kids' Corner provides excellent hands-on experience
for students wishing to learn about various careers involving children. After
training, the high school students provide the children with unique, individualized
preschool learning activities. The Early Childhood Instructor and Preschool
Lab Coordinator ensure a high quality of care and training. Campus Kids' Corner
operates Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The school provides two snacks
daily. The child's family is responsible for providing the child's lunch. The
current daily rate is $12.00. Campus Kids’ Corner maintains an open-door policy
on visitation—visitors are always welcome!
